Maria Wallace
A seasoned Montessori teacher and holds two Montessori certifications, and will be testing for her third during the 2025-2026 school year. In 2008, Maria started working in Montessori as an assistant while she was in college for her bachelors of science degree in psychology.
After college Maria started a masters program for counseling but decided to switch gears and train to become a certified Montessori teacher. Maria also has a deep love for mind-body psychology, and health and well being, and received a certification from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
Maria will introduce a new approach to education by bringing her love of psychology and well being to the classroom. Maria is a Minnesota native and moved to Texas to be with her husband, who she met at church camp more than twenty years ago. They have two boys, ages 5 and 7, who can unlock any lock and have top notch problem solving skills.
Alyssa Carlough
holds a degree in English literature & Creative Writing and loves all things reading and writing. Although she would not readily share her accomplishment, she has written and published a young adult novel in her spare time.
Alyssa has worked in diverse child care facilities and worked her way into administrative positions. She is a highly experienced Montessori director and executes administrative tasks with great proficiency and ease. Alyssa has started training to become a certified Montessori elementary teacher and is excited to expand her knowledge of Montessori education.
